Dr. Glahn has practiced in the areas of behavioral services and autism for over 30 years at local, statewide and national levels; working as a clinician, researcher, and administrator and university lecturer. She has experience in developing educational strategies, conducting individualized behavioral therapy, developing and supervising teams, designing curriculums, conducting assessments, and facilitating classroom designs. Her early research and clinical endeavors resulted in the development of the comprehensive behavioral approach of Fun & Functional. This comprehensive set of instructional tools and training protocols provide a balance between heart & head, between behaviorism & humanism. Dr. Glahn’s strategies have been utilized in various homes, schools and communities throughout the United States and Canada with an emphasized application for students with Autism, ADHD and Behavior Management concerns. Her work with Fun & Functional led to a professional focus on the relevance of addressing the treatment needs of the early learner and adolescents in distress. Kindergarten Ready is Dr. Glahn’s primary focus; ensuring the young learner diagnosed with autism is ready to successfully enter kindergarten. The adolescent concerns focus on educational and social competencies. Too often, Executive Functioning and Pragmatics are hindering the adolescent diagnosed with autism’s ability to successfully and fully participate and complete high school. To achieve these goals, Dr. Glahn and her colleagues apply behaviorally-based programming of ABA & ACT extremely inclusive of Mindfulness. The child will better succeed if the parent is involved fully in his/her program decisions and implementation. Parent involvement is a requirement for participation in the Fun & Functional Behavioral Services programming. It’s all about connecting!
Darlene Jorgensen has been a business owner for over 20 years in the Tucson, AZ area. She has developed, monitored and operated businesses with its many and varied components. She is familiar with both the human and business needs and feels competent at managing these diversified aspects with patience, competence and professionalism.
Chelsie has been working in the field of Behavior Analysis as an RBT for over 3 years. Before that, she worked as a preschool teacher in the Exceptional Education Partners program with Tucson Unified School District. Chelsie’s educational background includes Culinary School, and she is currently working her way through her Early Childhood Education degree. Her goal is to work in the field as a BCBA, SLP, or OT.
Karah Jorgensen presently has an Associate of Business and an Associate of Arts with a concentration in Psychology. She is currently a student at the University of Arizona, pursuing higher degrees in both Business and Psychology.
Xiao-Li Glahn is currently a student attending the University of Arizona; pursuing degrees in Physiology and French. She has over 10 years of clinical experience assisting individuals, ranging from toddlers to adolescents, diagnosed with ASD.
